TIME - CropMobster

Nick Papadopoulos is the CEO and Co-founder of CropMobster, an online platform that helps small farmers offload products at discounted rates or by donation providing anyone with food surplus the ability to publish online alerts that are broadcasted via email and social media to individuals, hunger relief groups and small businesses.

The goal of CropMobster is threefold: to prevent food waste in communities; to help address hunger; and to help farmers become more viable.

Cropmobster has sold or donated 100,000 pounds of produce so far. Three hundred producers and grocers have signed up to the service. with 80 to 90 using it regularly. About 5,000 people are registered for the alerts.
